In this article we will go through the steps of connecting Instagram to the business for posting. 

Setting Up Your Instagram

To connect Instagram to Bright Social, you will have to start with turning the Personal to Professional account.

If you have already set up your Instagram ection, you can proceed here.

To set up your Instagram account follow these steps:

Step 1. Install the Instagram application on your phone.

Step 2. Log in your Instagram account and find the Profile icon on the side and click it.

Step 3. Click Settings.

Step 4. Click Account.

Step 5. Turn the personal profile to Professional page.

Step 6. Select Business.

Step 7. You will be redirected to the Instagram Business Tools setup. Click Continue.

Step 8. Connect Instagram with the Facebook Business Page of your choice and click Next.

Step 9. Review your Contact Information and click Done.

From here, you can add more details to your public business information.

Step 12. Continue to your Instagram account.

Connecting Your Bright Social Account with Instagram 

Now you are ready to connect the Bright Social with Instagram. 

To start connecting your Bright Social account with Instagram, follow these steps:

Step 1. From the Businesses Dashboard, select a business that you want to set up.

Step 2. Click the Setup tab.

Step 3. On the Social Setup screen, first connect your Facebook Profile

Note: 

If you already have your Facebook Profile connected for posting to Facebook, make sure to disconnect it and reconnect again, refreshing the permissions. 

Step 4. Choose "Edit Settings" and select the business and the page to which the IG account is connected. 

 Step 5. Select the businesses 

Step 6: Click Next and Navigate to All pages and select either all pages or the one you want to work with

Step 7: Make sure the Permissions are all in blue and active: 

Step 8: Click Done to finalize the Facebook connection and then OK

Step 9: Navigate to Instagram - Direct Posting 

Step 5. Once your Instagram account is connected, navigate to the Posting Schedule tab.

Step 6. In this next step, we are going to test the posting to Instagram. Click the Edit Post icon to edit a post.

Step 7. Click Reschedule.

Step 8. Click Post Now.

It usually takes 5 - 10 seconds for the post to be visible on your Instagram account. There are no extra steps that need to be made for the post to be posted automatically to your Instagram if Direct Scheduling is enabled. 

Make sure that you connect your Facebook and the Business setup for Instagram as your first steps for best results with Instagram Posting.
